Therapy Sessions
At Rise in Love, Megan empowers couples, families, and individuals to transcend their history. By gently unearthing and healing deep-seated trauma, she helps you navigate your most complex relational challenges to build a foundation of lasting, conscious connection.
Couples Therapy
If you’ve made it this far, congratulations! Sometimes it seems that making the choice to look for help is the hardest part of the process. We are committed to providing you with a safe and nurturing environment to reimagine your relationship, reconnect with your partner, and renew your vision.
Individual Sessions
Individual therapy from an Imago Relationship perspective focuses on understanding how your early childhood experiences and past relationships shape your current behaviors, emotions, and patterns in relationships. Through this approach, you’ll explore how unmet needs from your formative years may influence your interactions with others, including partners, family, or friends. In sessions, you can expect a safe, empathetic space to deepen self-awareness, heal emotional wounds, and develop healthier ways of connecting with others. The therapist will guide you in recognizing how your "Imago" (an unconscious blueprint of familiar traits from caregivers) impacts your relationships, helping you transform conflict into opportunities for growth and connection. Whether you’re single or in a relationship, this therapy empowers you to cultivate deeper understanding, compassion, and relational skills for a more fulfilling life.
Wherever you are on the path to healing and growth, we’ll meet you there. Drawing from a deep well of trauma-informed interventions, you can trust that we are able to walk you gently through even the most difficult of journeys.

Sex Therapy
When it comes to talking about sex, even the most mature and reasonable adult can quickly turn into a dorky 14 year old. Long before we can even remember, we were force-fed messages about sex. We might’ve learned to believe that it’s shameful, dirty, or taboo. Maybe we learned that you ONLY have sex with a member of the opposite sex or within the confines of a marriage. Some of us learned to use sex as a tool to get what we want. Some of us have really positive views of sex-we just don’t want to have it! (I’m looking at you, menopause!)
Whatever brings you to sex therapy, we will work together to create an environment and an approach that feels right to YOU. Using a blend of solid physiological knowledge, therapeutic techniques, and a (mildly-inappropriate) sense of humor, we’ll get you started on the path to a more fulfilling and connected sex life!
EMDR
As wonderful as traditional talk therapy can be, sometimes we need a little more. Trauma, especially, can live deep in our bodies and stubbornly resist our efforts to clear it. EMDR can be an especially helpful approach to loosening the hold that these painful memories have on our present lives. If you’d like to know more about the process, reach out today!
